MEET OUR TEAM

Here are the lovely photos of every single person that you will meet and / or speak to on the phone during your moving experience with us.  From initial contact to moving into your new home, all of our team are all full-time, salaried employees of M&G, and M&G only – meaning you can trust in us.

  • A woman wearing a beige cowboy hat and a navy blue jacket with initials smiling and standing indoors.

    Rachel

    Surveyor & Operations Controller

We often reflected over the years that we lacked a steady and constant supply of witty innuendo and classic 1980s sitcom humour that could brighten our days. Then, along came Rachel! Rachel cares deeply about every aspect of home moving, genuinely cares about the clients she meets, and truly cares about the outcome of each transaction. We feel privileged to have her as part of our team, and indeed, our customers are equally fortunate.

Rachel is one part, alongside Donna and Sarah, of the finest management team this company has ever had the pleasure to employ. Although she is frequently bemused by modern technology—whether it’s toasters, calculators, or doorbells—her dedication and warmth more than make up for any technical confusions.

  • A woman with long blonde hair looking sad or disappointed, holding the handrail of a staircase, wearing a black jacket with a logo that says "M&G Donna."

    Donna

    Accounts Director

Resident office cutie-pie, mad cat lady, and wannabe adopter of every stray animal on planet earth.

‍Donna has been crucial to the success of M&G. 90% of her time nowadays is spent managing client accounts and on office admin. However she can still be found managing M&G’s work diary and dealing with M&G’s customers on the front line during busy periods. She's not shy of getting out and performing home moves too.

‍All paperwork is processed through Donna. She also operates the same administration role for our parent company MelvynJohn Ltd. She’s a busy lady!

‍Donna has performed home moves, and performed them well. Indeed she’s been known to work as fast, and as hard out on the vehicles as any of the removals operatives. She knows the industry inside and out. When she offers advice about moving home, it is worth listening to!

‍If you’re a self storage customer, you’ll definitely be liaising with Donna at some point.

‍M&G would not be where it is today without her input. It is no exaggeration to say that the M&G of today simply wouldn't exist without Donna. And by 'wouldn't exist' we really do mean it!

  • A woman with glasses and blonde hair posing with a model of a human brain on her head in an office.

    Sarah

    Adminstration Manager

Quick, witty, and sharp, Short on patience and can be slightly irritable at times. More importantly, she is an invaluable and crucial asset to M&G.

Sarah’s remarkable efficiency, clear logic, relentless ruthlessness, and impressive speed form a critical element of our office operations. She deeply understands the M&G ethos and is fully committed to exceptional customer care, consistently applying these skills every single day for the benefit of our clients.

Alongside Donna and Rachel, Sarah makes up one of the finest management teams this company has ever had.

One day, she might just stick a knife in Matt.

  • A woman with light blonde hair wearing a black polo shirt with a Red Cross logo and a headset, sitting at a desk in an office.

    Liv

    Office & Customer Services

Liv is our newest office recruit – she’s truly fabulous and has settled in seamlessly from day one. She is already proving herself by expertly overseeing our social media channels, in addition to efficiently handling the usual enquiries that come through. We are absolutely thrilled and proud to have Liv as a valued member of the M&G team.

  • A man with short hair and a beard looking surprised or confused, holding a large wooden plank while standing indoors.

    Matt

    Senior Surveyor

Senior Surveyor, and annoyer of many here, yet also heavily responsible for the firm you see before you. Never happy with pretty much anything, always demands too much, and it's never delivered quick enough. Nothing is ever good enough in his eyes, pushing everyone to achieve the highest standards. Yet, he turns up at customers' homes as the most charming, considerate, well-educated, and empathetic man on the planet.

Matt wants correct outcomes, but for the man who has his uniform emblazoned boldly on the back with 'WITHOUT HAPPY CUSTOMERS WE'RE F&*KED,' would you really expect anything less? His relentless drive ensures our success and customer satisfaction are never compromised.

One day Sarah will stick a knife in him.

  • Close-up of a middle-aged man wearing a black polo shirt and a blue staff lanyard, smiling slightly.

    Geoff

    M&G Kingpin

M&G has been trading since 1983 with Geoff on board!

Where on earth do we start. The man that has literally done it all.

Collections of furniture from the East End of London at 4am – yep. Moves to Spain and France – yep. Packing – Yep. Local Moves – yep. Managing commercial clients in storage – yep. Vehicle repairs – yep. HGV – yep. Building repairs – yep. Building storage units – yep. Forklift – yep.

The list goes on, and on, and on, and indeed further on and on. In fact, if there was a list it would appear like one of those comedy scenes where somebody holds up a sheet of paper and then lets all the sheets behind that are attached reel down towards the floor.

Nowadays you’ll find Geoff mainly on site here. Dealing with customers, making repairs, managing Tachograph records. Generally filling in gaps that exist everywhere, and without which filled everybody would suddenly realise not only is it mighty draughty because of those gaps but they’re freezing cold and shivering < This is a metaphor.

    The kingpin.

    That’s Geoff.

  • A man is squatting inside a small wooden closet, smiling, with one arm raised and gripping the top of the closet. He has short hair, a tattoo on his arm, and is wearing a black shirt and shorts with a logo.

Rock Solid. The perfect, professional home mover. A foundation stone. Tops the charts for customer satisfaction. Lee is hugely valued by us, oh, and you!

Lee has performed moves all over Europe. Performed office relocations for some very very well known household names, and of course has performed home moves at all ends of the spectrum and locations everywhere over the UK.

    Antony

    Senior Removalist

Old School tough. Supremely skilled. Probably the finest vehicle packer in the country. There is no element of moving Ant doesn't have the skills for.

He is part of the foundations here.

  • A man in a black jacket and safety vest leaning against a white vehicle that has text reading 'moving?' on the side, parked on a road with a large truck in the background.

    Terry

    Removalist

Polite, Caring. Two words that sum Tez up. Terry is an excellent packer, knows the job, and genuinely cares about the outcome. Comes to work when ill, comes to work when injured.....in fact, now I think about it, I'm wondering if he lives here.....

Often sneaks into the premises on a Sunday to wash his car but thinks we don't know.

  • Young man in a black shirt standing in a warehouse with stacks of folded patterned blankets or fabric.

    Oskar

    Removalist

Proving quick witted enough and with enough ability to hold his own. Oskar has a great work ethic, and even better sense of humour. It's a pleasure having him on the team.

  • A man with a beard and short hair smiling while squatting in the back of a moving truck, holding a smartphone. The truck contains plastic storage bins filled with various items, a large green storage container, and a pile of gray ropes or fabric on the side.

Somebody comes along, and it's like they've always been here....... Cheery, Optimistic, level headed, and proving to be an integral member of this crew. That's Mark. Skilled in all the right areas. Marks sense of humour and outlook on life is a great influence on this entire company.

    Daniel

    Removalist

Made a return in 2023. Dan was part of the team back in 2008-2013. Recently decided he wanted to return after working in construction. Look up 'nice bloke' in the dictionary and Dan’s whitey whites will be smiling at you.

  • A young man in dark work clothes and boots is standing inside a truck or cargo area, holding a large cardboard box labeled "This Way Up" and "Handle With Great Care" with red arrows pointing up.

    Finn

    Removalist

Quiet? We honestly ponder if he's mute. Meet Finn, the baby at M&G. Clothes from the waist up during work time only. Otherwise he's strutting & showing off his muscles. Well liked, and, very, very capable.

(Update - he actualy has quite a lot to say these days! Granted, it doesn’t always make sense, but it’s nice to involve him in a conversation!)

  • A young man in a navy uniform standing next to a moving company van holding a hand truck. The van has an inspirational quote about honesty, reliability, and courtesy, and a red heart logo with the words 'Hands can move a heart only'. The background features a brick wall.

In his first few weeks with us, it feels as if Jack has always been a part of the team! His seamless integration and positive attitude have made for a truly great start.

A really laid back and calm personality that we’re pleased to encompass within our team!

  • A young man with a beard and mustache holding a large cardboard box with 'M&G' and contact information outside a store with a glass door. There are yellow DHL packages stacked nearby and an exit sign above.
