How do I arrange a quotation for moving? Is it a video survey?
To arrange an accurate removal quotation, we usually carry out an in-home survey rather than relying on video alone. This allows us to properly assess furniture, access, and the practical details needed to plan your move properly. In our experience, small details missed in a video survey can lead to delays or issues on moving day, which is why we prefer to assess moves properly from the start.
If you’re moving from further afield, a video survey can be arranged with guidance provided. We may still arrange a brief follow‑up visit to confirm details — purely to ensure accuracy, not to change the agreed price.
We also find that face‑to‑face communication makes a real difference when planning a move.
