Packing Tips for Moving Boxes

1. Don’t Overfill
   Leave space to close the box properly. Overstuffed boxes are harder to carry and more likely to split.

2. Label Clearly
   Write the room and contents on each box. Use arrows to indicate “This Way Up” for fragile items.

3. Reinforce the Base
   Tape the bottom securely — especially for heavier loads. Double-taping adds extra strength.

4. Use Void Fill for Protection
   Fill gaps with packing paper or shredded material to prevent items shifting during transit.

5. Be Aware of Heavier Items

   Only half fill boxes with heavy items, like books, tins or jars - use soft, light items like coats, blankets and cushions for the rest!
